windows 7

for my last post i wanna talk about windows 7 and how its paractically taken over almost every computer. i said i never get it but when i got home for the summer and saw our new computer that came with it i decided to uppgrade straight away!. for you guys that dont know what windows 7 is than you need to catch up on your reading quick. Windows 7 is a version of Microsoft Windows, a series of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, and media center PCs. Windows 7 was released to manufacturing on July 22, 2009 and reached general retail availability on October 22 2009.

in the next year microsoft is releasing windows 8 i dont why so earky after they just let a new version out but i know is that if they keeo it upp microsoft will take over agin because i dont think there are many softwares that ca compete with what microsoft comes out with. and the new feature on the windows 7 are hard to match. so wheter we like it or not this is soemthing that sells and it does it well.

smart or stupid !

so i remember Darcy in class talking bout sher favorite show south park scencuring muhammad in one of thir episodes. to me south park is a grate show i find it to very funny and entertaning but i think they might have gone to far when they put an islamic prophet on there. i mean it seems stupid but to muslims their is a reason why their prophet should not be displayed or made fun of speacally on national tv on a show big as south park. in class talking baout it therr where some mixed feelings some taught the answer that the responde that the islamic coomunety gave about trying to blow up their bulding in NYC was to drastic which i also taugt wasa way tom much. so why do these people react this way.

It can just be because they feelt dissrespected. because they got provoked and i know thatthe creators of the show knew this before they aired the episode they cant be that studid not thinking none would react! this is what the creators matt stone and trey parker had tos ay about it on cnn



In a way they are not stupid they knew when they aired the epidoe they where gonna get alot of viewers and that it would cause upsets around the world and this way they are getting free publicity and get the name south park out there even more than it is cleaver or stupid ?. The fact still remains people gonna watch this show no matter what and they are going to display what ever they want because thats what south park do a lot of people have gotten offended about the diffrent epidsodes aried true the years. but its never come to where someone actually wanting to kill them. so i think in the future they should definetly be careful with what they post.

Where is face book going? It’s been called the biggest thing since Google and yes face book has become a global phenom its broken every website record possible and stands today without any competition really. So why is this simple thing making the world goes crazy and where will it is in ten years? When face book came out I did not pay any attention to it matter of fact people had to convince me to join, 3 years later I can’t get off the dam thing! And if you say you don’t check your account more than once a day you are a LIAR! This website has become one of the most addicting things out on the web today and it can be used for various things some make money of it others just use it to socialize.




so whats in store ! mark zuckerberg is the creator of facebook you wouldent think much of him by looking at his picture but guess again this 23 year old is a internet pioner! and is responsible for the biggest internet plage in years, when i think about how far this site has come in the klast five years i cant help wonder whats next?? my taughts on whats next for facebook is that i think this site might become even more interpersonal than its already is a sort of internet dating tool might be added in the next year where users can actually see how well they match with others and by so choose if they want to have a webbased blinddate with livecam thats on a timelimit and if intress is found an official date can become reality !.

The Ipad

So I want to talk about the technology and the new gadget out there today because I don’t know why we as people are so fascinated with technology because we don’t seem to be able to get satisfied no matter what we have we always want the latest. Apple presents the ipad! My first taught after hearing the radio was now what? When I first saw it I taught about getting one but after some digging and little more info I became sane again and realized that I have no use for this device. The ipad is basically a flat screen computer basically it’s a bigger version of an iPod touch in my mind. So why this obsession with something so useless because I really can’t think of anything this thing will do better than a regular Mac computer besides that is touch, but fact still remains the ipad is everywhere and everyone is getting one so why are people so attracted to this gadget is it because the way it’s been sold by the spokes men or the media circus around it?.



oki im not going to lie after seeing this video i was pretty tempted but aint that the way they usually get us by having somebody pitch the device in a way that speakes to us that makes it really hard to resist. when the avarage joe buys something like this he or she dont think about how can this befit me in my daliy life they will most likley buy it because of the way it looks and becaus off its new features and technology is still envolving bigger better things will come in the future that we are going to want to posses so the question is are we still going to be buying a product because of its looks or kvalite? mostlikely the second if you ask me.

There are no limits to the virtual webb

Virtual reality games were the topic in class today. This is one of the fastest growing things on the internet today being able to created a virtual alter ego and do the things or anything you always wanted but in a virtual reality so why do people play these games ? Is it because they are scared of the real world or do they feel like this is a place where they can truly be themselves without being looked at in a weird way. Second life is one game that’s growing rapidly where u can create your own avatar and basically live true this virtual person and do the things you always wanted, I think the people that play these games are people that have a problem establishing themselves in the real world by playing they never have to encounter anybody in person.



in the video above the backsides of the game second life is explained where sexual favors can be bought and as said before anybody can get avatar young to old and how suited is it to have kids that are maybe teen years old or younger playing these games where sexual favors can be bought and characters can be rapped, and the funny thing is that they don’t even know who is on the other end of the computer unless they choose to reveal it which I highly doubt and this is something I think all parents should take into consideration before letting their child be part of the virtual world.


Today virtual games have become an obsession for the people who play. They do everything in their daily life true there avatar for instance there are workplaces where the employees don’t communicate with each other instead use their avatar so where is this virtual obsession going over 2 million people log on everyday to shop interact or play with each other this world have even started getting into politics where you could campaign from your living room. So I ask myself and my reader where will second life be in like twenty years will it totally have consumed us as people so that when we go to work we never have to talk to anyone instead we just interact true our virtual egos one thing is for sure the more real second life gets the more people are going want to be part of this phenom because it covering every aspect of the real world we live in today.

SA 2010

It’s here the greatest sporting event on earth and I for one cannot wait to glances at all of these games for over a month, the world cup s here and this year all eyes of the world will be directed to south Africa during the month of June and July 32 nations will battle for the ultimate price, as always this world cup is expected to be something special it’s the first ever its benign held in an African country and they are going big new gigantic stadiums are being build roads are being fixed anything to prepare for the media coverage that’s going to transform this country into something new and fruitful .



The south African people are not just hoping for this to be an historical event but also help boost the economy and help the county reach new heights, the media coverage and the people attending the games or even watching from home is ridiculous estimated people watching the final last year went up to 800 million worldwide, every country is followed by their own media crew that reports everyday how the status is with the team if any news tactics and so on, for a player this could be like living in a fishbowl and that’s what it is there every move is watched by the media things taken out of proportion.



One thing is for sure once these games are done the nation will never be the same and to think if they went so far that they would win it would be chaos in the world for me and a lot of people this is a global phenom that takes place for almost 2months usually during this month I’m so happy just cheering on and watching the teams play I’ve had the privilege do be around the world cup in person when germane hosted it 2006 and all I can say it’s an amazing feeling to be walking around all these people in different colors going around yelling. so is the world cup really worth watching ? yes most definety its an event that should not be missed by anyone even those who dont understand or like soccer i say to you give it a chance its an amazing thing to be part of !

Liars, Cheaters,

Every year they are caught they try to go under the radar but in the end they are always exposed, in media they are dragged true the mud exposed to the world as cheaters but for some reason they always have some explanation and excuses, like they didn’t know what they where doing to begin with. And it never gets old some will actually go so far and say they did not know what they were taking until after the medal has been removed from their necks but when they up on the podium accepting they sure know what they what they doing.

Why Tiger Why ??

Am I the only one that is bothered by the woods circus I love tiger the man use to be the king and I looked up to him so much I don’t even know a lot about golf except that is very fun to hit them balls but I love what woods use to represent not only for black people but for anybody that ever saw him as a role model with values he has overcome so much in his life growing up to get to the top. so I ask why tiger why?. hearing about his affairs was a huge disappointment I never taught he would be one of those professional athletes woods have always been portrayed as the family man that always would do the right thing so when the news came out I think more backs where turned against this man so quick that he just went into a temporarily depression I know I’m one of them that will never look at him with the same respect again, one of our times all greatest who betrayed his family and a hole world of followers the fact that he managed to keep this under the radar for so long makes me wonder about the rest of the legends out there like roger feederer tennis phenom could he be capable of “driving” like woods ? !

When fame strikes we know the temptations that comes with it specially for mega superstar but there are some you just never picture would be able to do the things they do and woods was one of those and rather than coming out telling his side of the story like the rest of his 10 ladies friends !! he choose to go in hiding , all I can say to him is “honesty is the best policy” it did not work for Clinton it won’t work for you either so come out and talk to us Mr. Woods!!!

Super Bowl Phenom or not ??

it’s been called the greatest sporting event known to man watched in every household around the world but is the super bowl all that most Americans say it is?, when I came over to America 3 years ago I had little knowledge about the sport I taught I was silly really because is o similar to rugby the only difference is that they wear pads over here and have a few different rules. nothing to be hipping about right as foreigner you would think that but unless you actually gain some true knowledge about the sport and understand what it’s all about or mean to the people over here in the united states speaking badly about it will most likely get you enemies.

sure we watch it overseas at 2-3 am for some but it’s not the same thing and most people don’t even know what’s going on when they turn on there TV’s they just like the fact that its super bowl and want to see what all the fuss is about, for me it was like that until I came over to America I’ve seen two super bowls my first one was Giants vs. new England but I never sat true long enough to enjoy it and the second time was Sunday when the saint played colts and it totally blew my mind away I sat there actually found myself enjoying the game and as I looked around me at the twenty people sitting and screaming, it hit me this is their sport the fact that football was invented in this country makes it even more special to them and I could see why the event has a way of bringing people together man or women even if you don’t like the sport or know what is going on it just makes you want to be around when it goes down. So Super Bowl Phenom or not?? yes to me it really is and specially when underdogs go and win it makes it even more special.

in media super bowl is projected as the biggest sporting event on earth over 30 miliion people tune in to watch these players represent themself and thier state to them this is a battle that many of them refue to lose maurice jones drew is a greate example of a person that never taught he would make it to the NFL, but after a lifetime of hard work he got his jearsey and according to him after all he sacruficed to get there was well worth it. so i guess dream do come true in a sport where youre life is a stake everyday you step on the field when the saints made that final touch down to secure the titel they did not only carry a hole state on there shoulders they entered a stadium to prove that dreams do come true in every aspect you just gotta workhard enough for it to make sure you get yours.

Gaming on Different levels

So today in class we where discussing a video game called reap lay where the player wins by raping as many girls he can when I first read the article I was very disturbed to hear that people where actually playing a game like this obviously japan is a completely different place than America with different culture and believes but I would think that the human mindset between right and wrong would be little bit similar I mean who in their right mind would think of playing a game like this let along making it, to me these kind of virtual games are degrading and is something that can give people ideas because let’s face it there are people out there that cannot separate reality from fantasy what they see is what they want to try.
They say sex sells and obviously the companies over there are making millions of these games but it’s just really sick and twisted in the way they are doing it to me not very appealing in my eyes, many reviews about the games have been made true the Internet about how degrading to women this is but the industry keep producing more of these games without any taught on how it may look to the outside world.

another question that keep coming in to my mind is that is there an age limit on these games or can anybody play it ! over here in America we play grand theft auto and just like when you are in that game playing you take character like any other game and to be honest the shooting and car boosting is really fun to do, but here comes the difference i know that what I'm doing at that point is just all kicks and fun but can most people you end up reading about or hearing about in the new say the same ? or are they just going to believe that they can go out do what they just experienced in a video game? scary to think that video games can have these influence on people and push them to that point where they think they are in the actual game.
